    When I was a freshman in high school track, we convinced another kid that someone had to go out and catch the javelin. It was quite funny.

    Actually, I have a friend who can catch a javelin, ten times out of ten (seriously—we tested him). It’s a useful skill in melées at a Renaissance faire.
