Is there any yard work Peter enjoys? He also loathed mowing the lawn with a rusty push mower (the kind that doesn’t take gasoline).

How do you think the leaves feel?

I too hate raking leaves!

Pick the homework! It’s a lot easier to pretend you’re studying than it is to pretend you’re raking leaves!

Why rake leaves when you can just run them over with the lawn mower and chop them up into tiny pieces?

Of course, Peter will have to do the homework as soon as he’s done raking the leaves! The only choice he has is which one is first and which one is second.

It seems I spend much of November raking leaves. I always stop and pick up the really beautiful ones. It takes time. But even after 50 years, anything is better than homework.

I think I would have rather been doing my homework. In fact, if my parents were trying to make me rake leaves or shovel snow, I’d tell them I had homework to do even if I didn’t have any.

Yes, thinking is SO much harder than physical labor.

Where I live, we just wait a day or two and the wind carries them off to the next state.:)

Actually, I enjoy raking leaves. The weather is perfect. The air is brisk and clean. The colors are wonderful, in the beautiful autumn scene.

Wasn’t there a strip where Jason imagines the leaf pile is a monster, and destroys it with the rake. The the scene shifts indoors:

Andy: “Goodness Roger, look at the yard! I thought I asked you to rake the leaves.”

Roger: "I did rake the yard, I spent all afternoo…
