You leave him alone, he leaves you alone. It’s rarer than rare, but I think a couple of video games actually had “enemies” like that in it. I wish I could remember which ones.
Or as Sun Tzu said it in The Art of War, “To win 100 victories in 100 battles is not the epitome of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the epitome of skill.”
This reminds me of the Netflix cartoon Glitch Techs, in one episode they have to go through a parody of Castlevania and Five gets stuck at this boss character that’s basically a giant weapon golem that he can’t damage, and Miko reveals that you aren’t meant to fight him but rather escape into a hidden exit. Also in the ACTUAL Castlevania 2 game you can literally just walk right through Death’s boss room without having to confront him, which might have been the inspiration for this comic.
In the old game of Adventure there is a dragon that none of your weapons can kill, nor can you feed it into submission. You must simply go up to the dragon:
I did that while playing Uncharted. I spent several days in that underground room with the Nazi Zombie Swarm, thinking I had to clear the room before I could move on. The body-count was in the thousands. Finally I cracked and googled the play-through, only to learn that I simply had to leave the room.

Kill dragon.
What? With your bare hands?
Yes.
You have killed the dragon with your bare hands.

It’s like Bowser in “Super Mario Bros.”: You just have to reach the end of the bridge and then chop it down.
