I once asked for tomato juice. They actually had some, but filled the tiny plastic glass with ice. I didn’t think to tell them no ice, who puts ice in tomato juice?

This reminds me of a bad airline advertisement back in the ’70’s or ’80’s (can’t recall the airline). A passenger is being served a drink by the stewardess, who gives him the whole can. He politely keeps trying to push it back to her, saying “Oh no, I couldn’t” and other drivel….the point of the ad being the airline serves the whole can. He’s used to only getting a cup, not the whole can, and he doesn’t know how to accept this tremendous generosity.

The area where I live (central Texas) is still dealing with water outages from last week’s storms. Yesterday I stopped by Whataburger for lunch, and due to their lack of ice they gave me a can of coke with my combo meal.

Pretzel logic.

You can tell this is an old strip. She’s actually giving him a full can instead of pouring a little soda over a cup full of ice and using the rest of the can on the next 2-3 passengers.
