I can’t remember if we’ve reached the arc where Peter was cut from every team even though he didn’t try out. If we have, Peter better keep that in mind here.

Like mistercatworks, my experience with HS coaches was that they were mostly mean sadistic jerks. The only nice coach quit halfway through my freshman year. He went on to receive recognition, accolades, and awards elsewhere. 30 years later I was working on a project in the city where he went and was retiring. They were honoring him. There was a newspaper article there about him and how my HS city’s loss was their gain.

I was the 2nd team running back, I once calculated that had I been 1st team running back we, the team, could’ve been 1-8 instead of 8-1.
