(3g) Does Trey want to buy the building? He’s really putting it down……….

(Rex) I wonder if he should get a share for being her mentor? I still need conformation on the numbers….

(APT 3-G) I’d like to see Maggie’s Art Deco building. One thing I’ll miss about Brenda Starr will be June B’s artistic renderings of buildings - the courthouse, the apartment house, Harry’s house, Tap’s house, Tap’s ranch, etc.

(REX MORGAN) How is Berna’s brother spending his half of the winnings when the ticket hasn’t yet been cashed in? Credit card? Payment plan? ?? He’s going to end up in debt if things go awry.

(PHANTOM) Looks like the “HER” Phantom asked about yesterday–in the middle panel (the warden).

Just throwing this in because it’s the New Year, and because it’s Mary’s column:

(BOOKS) Brenda Starr writer and Tribune columnist, Mary Schmich, has recently listed her top 9 books for 2010; here’s the link. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/ct-met-schmich-1217-20101217,0,5323243.column

SWEETBILL: Glad you like the above link. Sorry about the Art Deco link yesterday (3-G comment). I think there was a character in the address, maybe the question mark (?) that broke it into two sections in my comment, so when you clicked on it you only got the first half of the address. I would have loved to have seen Brenda Starr’s artist, June B., do something with Art Deco architecture!

Thanks for the list, Florchi. The best book I’ve read this year is by Guy Gavriel Kay, ‘Under Heaven’. I love his writing, and I didn’t want the book to end. It takes place in China, during the Tang Dynasty.

Thanks for tip Marg - I’ll check it out. I’m a reader. My mom was a librarian and my dad was a bookbinder (in Philly).

@Florchi (Phantom) - same comment. Never realized the Warden was a “she.”
