I remember reading a supposidly true story once about a church that got together to pray for an end to the drought that was going on. After the prayer time all the perishiners were standing out on the lawn talking when an old woman – the oldest member of the perish – came out of the church. She stopped under the awning and started putting on her rain coat and hat, and by the time she opened her umbrella the whole congragation was watching her, thinking she’d gone soft in the head because the sun was still shineing down hard. She put up her umbrella and stepped out from the church awning and in that instant the sky turned dark and the rain started pouring down.
