"Tamales! Tamales! Tamales!"
"I am so sick of hearing about Mrs. Trevino's Tamale Day!"
"I've shared my heritage in the classroom, too, you know!"
"Believe me, people still talk about 'Lutefisk Day.'"
Lutefisk: dried whitefish that has been cured in lye (LYE????) rehydrated, then steamed until it is gelatinous. The word literally means “Lye fish”. It is a Christmas specialty, so Lutefisk day was probably some time in December.
