Aahhhh…… and the picture causing the fuss is on the wall around the corner, where we can’t see it. I kept looking for some hint of the actual “tribute”. As for Goya’s Nude Maja, after looking up the artist myself, I can say that I believe the Nude is one of the LEAST alarming pieces the student (yeah, probably Caulfield) could have been inspired by. Wow. Dark. Effective. Violent. He is fortunate he did not get executed for some of his work, too. I doubt those in charge would have particularly care for his frank depictions of the horrors of war, for example, and I’m guessing they were not released until a chunk AFTER his death so the did not CAUSE his death (so to speak).

It is supposedly the 1st painting to show female pubic hair, and so caused quite a stir at the time. There is also a clothed version; I wonder which one is on the wall around the corner? I would describe it as subtly erotic, rather than violent.

My guess would be a picture based on Saturn Devouring His Son.
