Caulfield says, "Miss Plainwell copied Mrs. Olsen's summer reading list and I read the whole thing before she assigned it!" Caulfield says, "I thought we were pulling a fast one on Mrs. Olsen." Caulfield says, "But Miss Plainwell was pulling one on me." Frazz says, "I sense a question looming." Caulfield says, "She's your girlfriend. I figure that means you understand her." Frazz says, "She's my girlfriend means I don't."

This is the way Caulfield should always do it: get the mandatory reading out of the way, and spend the rest of the summer reading what he wants to read.
