Frazz by Jef Mallett for July 10, 2011
Transcript:
Caulfield: A coffee grinder won't turn gravel into sand. A coffee grinder won't turn gum into taffy. A coffee grinder won't turn an egg and sugar into cookie dough. A coffee grinder won't turn rubber bands into gold ball innards. A coffee grinder won't turn french fries into mashed potatoes. A coffee grinder won't turn Mrs. McIntyre's koi pond into a class VI rapid. But SIX coffee grinders will turn an ordinary afternoon into entertainment. Frazz: I see the neighborhood garage sale has turned a week's allowance into landfill fodder.

I’ll wager they could be re-engineered to take on any of those tasks.

A coffee grinder will sit at the back of the counter because you don’t have time for it at 5 AM.

But wouldn’t it turn Mrs. McIntire’s koi pond into cat food?

Please not the landfill! An eco-conscious man like Frazz knows how do dispose of electronic waste.

e-recycling is currently another dumping site. a lot of e-waste is sent to china, where they use toxic methods to get to precious metals. acids to dissolve boards. they don’t use safety gear. lands and people get toxic poisoning of arsenic, lead, and etc…chinese gov’t doesn’t want the world to know. go to a e-recycling company, track the shipping container number, and it will be sent to china or some other country where regs are nonexistent or corrupt.
