Hmm. I see the desks configured in a C configuration, just like my ’school. Is that better than rows and aisles?

she’d save herself a lot of grief if she answered in kind…the simple solution to cut him off would be to say “yes.”

There’s a lot of love and adoration in a little kid who honestly aims to engage a teacher in spirited conversations…you probably remember.“See me…see me…engage me…”The Kulture must extirpate such drives for individualistic affections…

Mrs. Olsen will never forget Caulfield – he’s truly unforgettable. However, I don’t think she’ll ever see his questions coming.

True, he needs to be put on an honors track that will challenge him.

But that would damage the self esteem of the students who don’t get put on the honors track. and we can’t have that, can we?

Notice how much time Caulfield spends with Frazz? The teacher sends him out of the class when he is disruptive to spend time with the janitor… that used to happen when I was in grade school, back in the early 60s. Mr. Harrison wasn’t as young as Frazz, but I think he was good with the troublesome boys.
