Thanks. I’d forgotten the good-natured joshing and small challenges thrown and accepted in the interaction between a kid and an adult. “Anything you can do I can do better” or the “Bet you can’t do this…”…the adult being tested, and good-naturedly complying, as a treat. After complying…somewhat…in the test…“NO, I was out here looking, and I say I could tell you were straining…” a form of Gotcha. Got you to do it, and you still didn’t do the other thing…Gotcha. Eric Berne’s "Games People Play, a version of ‘Make me a Mud Pie…’Man, I’m getting old. I’m remembering stuff I read in college.Great strip, thanks.
I try not to wring my hands or clench my fists while in the dentist’s chair. Similar concept, I think. Caulfield will keep Frazz challenged on almost anything (which is good), but challenging him to not make a face while opening a jar? Wow, that is something!

OK, is it making a face or changing a face?….I think they’re talking about two different things…

Actually, according to the laws of physics, faces can be neither made nor destroyed.
