Caulfield: Okay, I'm back. Mrs. Olsen: Where were you? Caulfield: My fitness tracker said I'd been sitting too long. Mrs. Olsen: Oh. Okay. Frazz: Is that an inside-out hello kitty watch you're wearing? Caulfield: Laugh if you want. It did its job.

At any age. How many adults do you know that sit quietly and constantly focus on their work, as opposed to getting up for coffee, chatting with someone, stretching their legs, etc?

The best, and I believe the only way, to wear a Hello Kitty watch.

Nice one Caufield! I wish I had thought to pull some of your prank ideas on my fourth grade teacher.(Who yelled at me for simply reading ahead in the class reading assignment)

Hmmm. Calling Caulfield a nine-year-old is a bit like calling Mozart a violinist, technically true, but it misleads by focusing on the least relevant characteristic. Sure Caulfield’s knowledge base is a contrivance, but we like it. Amazing kids have populated the schools I’ve spent time in.

Poor kid? He didn’t “resort” to such trickery; he THRIVES on it.

Most elementary schools have a schedule that allows for ‘get up and move’ time every two hours or so. Also, a good strategy teachers can use for those ‘ants-in-the-pants’ types is “Here — take this note to Mrs. X (her room is on the other side of campus).” The note will be nothing, but there will be a reciprocity agreement in place. (I use this in middle school myself).

For crying out loud bigpuma, not only is the point of the comic that Caufield doesn’t wear one, and Mrs. Olson doesn’t take the time to consider it, but the type of omniscience is common in almost every comic, from B.C. to Garfield. Often it is the only possible way to explain the punch line, and normally the jokes are worth it. (also, there may have been a label on the bottom of the watch that Mrs. Olson didn’t pay attention to)
Besides, you’ve already complained about this before, and it isn’t going to have any effect. If you feel the desperate need to put down any Frazz comic you see, than can you at least think of unique reasons for each strip?

Smart, yet disgusting.
