If you keep your mouth open, at least keep your teeth shut. Harder to do anything about what flies up your nose however.

Eating bugs is no fun. The ones that eat me are worse. Once out on my bike, I encountered a horsefly. I sped up several MPH.

I reckon it’s worse if a bug gets in your eye. Takes longer to get it out, and hurts more. At least if one gets in your mouth/nose you can spit/sneeze it out.
