Yeeeaaaah…. despite dodges that it’s just the e-mail, he still seems to be calling himself classy, if only because he personally got the better, classier e-mail telling him how to behave. Sometimes this is a fun comic, but it does feel like the main character is a bit lacking in, shall we say, modesty.
I have a question for the people who continue to read this strip in order to snark about it. If you listen to the radio, or an online station, do you: a) intentionally go out of your way to find a station that you know plays music you don’t like, and then spend the whole time grousing to anyone in earshot about how overplayed the songs are, how overhyped the artists are, how overdone the subjects are (“3 songs in a row about being in love? Give me a break!”), how sloppy the engineering and production are (“Sounds like it was recorded in the Batcave!”), make unfounded negative assumptions about the writers/artists intent based solely on your own biases, no matter how positive others may find them, and just generally go out of your way to find fault, even if you have to make stuff up: or 2) find another station?

Once again, Frazz pegs the smug-o-meter, modestly describing himself as “classy.”

I like where he’s coming from. Smug sneers from the peanut gallery, not so much.

Yep, you gotta volunteer sometimes. It’s very rewarding besides being the right thing to do.

If you do get that e-mail, don’t click on the embedded link!

The font shift is strange, because it still looks handwritten.

If you aren’t determined to find the worst in the character, you might interpret it as striving to be classy rather than saying “I am classy.”
