I imagine that they’re mostly concerned with predator / prey calculations and food. For a particularly… low… form of “concern”.

As for bats…

I think they wonder why humans are destroying the biosphere and causing so many species to go extinct!

There are quite a few species of bird that might also wonder what it’s like to fly—and why they gave up.

I mostly imagine that most do most things on mostly instinct.

They probably wonder most about how to avoid being crushed, sprayed, or basically eradicated by a species that seems to crowd out every space they once called theirs.

Why are these kids always hanging out with a school employee instead of their own parents?

Why do some snakes think they can fly? I would LOVE to see one!

A lot of bugs and butterflies tend to “land” on the windshields of my car, truck, and Harley. Occasionally, a bird will dive bomb my car/truck… it does not end well for them.

We Bene Gesserit sift people to find the humans. What if it were as simple as finding those that imagine and wonder?
