How many sit ups do you think you’ve done in total?

Then everything doesn’t happen all at once. Frazz may have been hit in the head by the ball.

I’ve actually seen that one, stated as “Time had to be invented so everything didn’t happen all at once.” I’m more into the idea of time as another non-spatial dimension. One memorable short story had a guy who invented a way to rotate the 5 dimensions so he could walk along the time dimension. Barely made it back after walking for HOURS and HOURS and not even getting back to when he’d flipped the switch. Finally realized that after the rotation, one second mapped to 186 THOUSAND MILES (light speed, ya know).

I have to wonder how many times in a week Frazz’s friends just throw their hands up and yell “JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION, SOCRATES!”

You have a point, Frazz, which explains why it took you so long to ask out Miss Plainwell.

I have read that there is a theory in physics that the math doesn’t disprove, that time is an illusion, that the moment of the big bang and now are all one, we appear to experience it sequentially but that time is not an actual thing, just a way of expressing the big bang. All at once, over time.

Can anyone identify the writing on Mr. Burke’s shirt? In the third panel, I’m seeing it as “RPI”—my alma mater. But that could be my own bias. (Also, there must be plenty of schools with the same or similar acronyms.)

I’m 70+. I do 150 “tummy crunchers” every day. I could do more, but I get bored.
