Enjoy your innocence?

I just call them pants. What’s the difference?

I’m 63 and I have no idea what chinos are.

Frazz needn’t have worried. He wouldn’t be sharing if it were other kind of magazine.

Now explain cargo shorts.

I (not yet an adult, but a card-carrying Old Fart) tend more to shorts in winter than jeans in summer.

One of the nice things about being retired is that I don’t go into an office anymore. My summertime uniform is shorts and T shirts. “Ties? We don’t need no stinking Ties.”

I don’t really get jeans. They’re too thick and stiff for my comfort.

An adult magazine that talked about clothing? Times have changed.

I live in the PNW. Jeans are the chinos of the West.

Chino is a cotton fabric. The fabric was made in China originally and the Spanish called the pants, pantalones chino, Chinese pants. So chinos, pants made from that fabric, can be any color. Khaki is a color but the word is used for pants that are made of khaki colored chino fabric.

If you’re going to be wearing shorts all your life, if probably doesn’t matter. Or matter less.
