    That’s not a Grandma’s job. Their job is to smother you in love… and grant immediate wishes from time to time aka spoil you… but only during a visit.

    Every time I hear about someone coming up with a Christmas list with a dozen items on it, I reflect on O. Henry’s 1905 short story “The Gift of the Magi” — tinyurl.Com/y43wz9uv — and I think of the list that I’d give to my wife if she ever wanted one: “just you”.
