no they aren’t that long , maybe it is a love seat- which is what fred really gets a lot of at home

You’re on the nail bald, it’s a love-seat (British size, slightly smaller than American).

Bassets expand to fill the availble loving space

Fred is bigger here than he is usually drawn. Here he is about the size of the one I had as a child. (Mercury Ulysses, normally called Useless. 70 lbs., nearly 7’ nose to tail tip, and winner of many shows, both Best of Breed and Overall.)

Well, it’s a love seat now!
