Well Macush: there’s probably a fireplace (with fire) at that pub–which Fred can relax in front of while dad pays for it with some drinks.
Is there any “saloon” in England? I never see even one place with that name “saloon.” By the way, hopefully, that place might have a fireplace so Fred can lay down near it and keep himself warm enough for his comfort.
Many pubs have several bars within them; the ‘saloon’ should be one with comfy chairs.
