FYI…only bakers chocolate is unsafe for dogs. A basic Hershey’s chocolate bar might make them sick because of all the sugar but it will not poison them…from my VET of 20+ years!
Yes, chocolate is always on the list of things not to feed your dog. The poster at the vet’s office has this along with onions and garlic. That being said, I had a dog that once ate an entire 1 lb box of chocolate and never got sick.

Part of the scientific name for cacao is theobroma, meaning “drink of the gods”. Reversing that gives you “poison of the dogs”.

Freds about 75-80 pounds..
He can eat more chocolate then 5 chihuahuas and not get sick..
