Learned a new word. I thought they were all called “Ger” but apparently that’s only how they’re called in Mongolia.

Stayed in a nice gerin the Gobi. Our tour included a visit to a camel ranch whose owners had two gers – a larger, unheated one for summer and a smaller one with a stove for winter and cooking. We were later able to with authority tell a docent at a stateside Genghis Khan exhibit that except for a TV in the corner and a motorcycle and satellite dish parked outside, modern ones looked just like the 13th C. version they had on display.
