Our Sheltie used to do that….EXCEPT when it was time to go to the vet. Didn’t matter what we did to try and disguise the destination; somehow, he always knew.
When our beautiful, joyous Range was with us he’d wait at the top of the stairs for the OK to come out for a ride or a walk. Then you’d swear a dog could fly. It didn’t look like he touched ground between the top stair and the sidewalk. Another friend sorely missed.

Most of the dogs we every had loved to go for a ride ! My guess is that they love to see so many different things.

Looks to me like the Master would like to check your ‘boarding pass’, Fred ! !

At least Fred has the grace to hop into the passenger seat. My dogs always seem to want to sit behind the wheel. Maybe I need a right hand drive car.

Of course we don’t know where he is going. Could be to work or some place that’s not appropriate for Fred.
