Poor Fred, it looks like they were having such a lovely afternoon until trouble arrived. Now he’s gone from snuggling on the couch to banished to the kitchen.
I have come to the conclusion that GoComics isaffiliated with Comcast/ xfinity cable..A problem can go on for days before someone at the company finally notices it and fixes it..

I have has similar problems with getting Fred Basset over the past couple of days via -email. It does not happen with any of my other strips.
