I had a dog once who went to the door ans scratched so that I would let him out. But he didn’t want to go out. The other dog had a bone. When I opened the door, the second dog dropped the bone and ran out. The first dog grabbed the bone. Tool use, an indicator of intelligence, is not unknown to dogs. Becoming a human tool? Priceless.

The big guy doesn’t need to drop the bone to look back. Further more, he’s bigger than Fred and has longer legs. Fred might have a problem.

Oh no, that’s not nice, Fred! What if it was your delicious bone and it happened to you?
