Tell me about it Fred, floods in every freaking apartment we lived in over the years. First one was we redid the basement in my husband’s parents house for us to stay in and woke up to a flood in the bedroom, the poor cats were up on the table and chairs in their room. Then we had one in a house we lived in with what turned out to be a slum Lord. Then we got a reprieve when we moved to VA to go to grad school. We thought the first apartment was filthy, had roaches and the toilet overflowed and made a mess. We got out of that and got into a nicer one and that place we loved and no issues. Moved to Rochester and no floods PTL in the University housing and the last apartment before we moved to CA. First apartment there was “not cleaned” so we called the manager and she insisted it was so she came over and had a fit on how dirty it was. So we went shopping for the day and when we got home it was spic and span.
Eventually we moved and rented a 2600 square foot house lovely but a LOT of work I had to use my vacation time to do my top to bottom cleaning and luckily my husband helped. Then move to Las Vegas and more floods because the neighbors didn’t watch their kids, they filled the bathtub and left the water running and it came into our apartment and in our closet where we stored all our pictures and some wonderful sentimental things we received over the years. We moved to CA and found a nice place and if memory serves me we now have had 4 floods in here …..water doesn’t like us.
