Well, Fred. While she does need to improve, even the most gifted artist would have trouble capturing your perfection in a portrait.

Nothing like a perfect picture Fred and that is nothing like a perfect picture. She got the colors corrrect though…

An “A” for effort.

Now now, Fred, she’s actually a cubist.

Be glad it wasn’t me who drew you, Mia did a pretty good job.

Must’ve had him pose just after a visit to the vet, he looks high…

But she got your smile (or grin) perfectly on the sketch!!

Accept the compliment, Fred. Of all the dogs and cat, she chose you! She loves you and it’s her early work from her childhood.

Maybe needs a wee bit more improvement, but there’s way more than enough love there, Fred…

Wonder if that’s Alex’s granddaughter’s drawing since his daughter has been drawing the strips for over a decade. Sort of like when they have the kids’ drawings on Family Circus.
