Oh Fred! Everyone has always loved you. You know that. Sure, there’s a lot of pressure to not do or act in a way that you don’t let your fan club down, but you do it very well. If you did make a mistake, we’d forgive you.

Camera-shy! Never having been on the receiving end of adulation, I don’t quite get it, but it must be a bit tiring to always be watched and adored, when all you want is to enjoy yourself…
My dog Shadow was very popular. When I took him for a walk, he would sometimes be surrounded by toddlers who would pet every part of him they could reach. He just stood there and let 4 or 5 little kids lavish attention on him. Of course, he was so busy sniffing the ground that he didn’t pay too much attention to them. I think that was why they found him so approachable. He didn’t jump up or try to lick them.
At Halloween, when the whole neighborhood came to our door, nobody said trick or treat. All the kids would say, “Hi Shadow!”.
All those people and nobody had a pet to get him or a treat? No wonder he left. Poor guy wanted some love, and all he got was a bunch of camera flashes.
