You are flyin’ high Fred!

Everybody loves you, Fred.

I don’t think so. Probably some high dignitary is in town.

Used to get C-17s flying over. I told my grandson to wave. And one time the huge plane dipped a wing! I think the pilot saw us waving!

Well, enjoy, lads. After what happened in Ramstein in 1988 airshows scare the sh** out of me.

Might be for the 80th Anniversary of ‘Operation Chastise’. Better known as the Dam busters Raid. Although it was the 16th-17th of May. So a little late…….

Living at a high rise by the Lake, the ThunderBirds few so close to the balcony, we saw his face and waved! Sooooo loud! ☺️

They must be with the RDF (Royal Dog Force) flight wing.

Doesn’t look like the RAF ‘Red Arrows. Could it possibly be the ’Blue Angels’ on a good-will tour ?

When I was a child, they used to break the sound barrier all the time near us. I thought it was really cool.

Red Arrows in spearhead formation. Very UK. Thanks Fred. WE here at JBMDL get power in the Pines every two years. Thunderbirds, Golden Knights, aircraft walk throughs for the C-17, C-5, and KC-135s, field demonstrations of MRAPs APCs and battle tanks…but for the nostalgia buffs, it is the fly-by of WW2, Korea and Viet Nam era aircraft that draws tears from the eye. Tomorrow in the USA is Armed Forces Day. Thank a serviceman when you see one. And, perhaps, raise a glass to absent comrades.

Our dachshund Lindy was fascinated with the planes headed for the airport about 8 blocks away.
