Glad you had a fun day, Fred but back it up a minute. You wrestled a bone away from a little corgi? You, a large basset, took a bone from a smaller, but I’m sure scrappy, corgi? Was that right or fair? Maybe this is why Jock was often times stealing yours. You sowed bad karma. Or in other words, what goes around, comes around.

Thank you Fred, for the lively describtion of your day. That sure would have been too much for Mr. Graham to draw. We will just use our imagination. :-D

Today 16th October brings back memories of my childhood in the UK in the 1970s. The long-running children’s show Blue Peter began on 16th October 1958 which was just over eight years before I was born. I watched the 20th anniversary edition as an eleven-year-old in 1978. I would watch Blue Peter on Monday and Thursday evenings and it would sometimes be followed by an episode of the 1970s animated series of Fred Basset.

The other significance of 16 October in my childhood concerns UK comics. The last issue of the comic Valiant and the first issue of the comic Krazy were both dated 16 October 1976.

Good show, Fred. Sounds like you seized the day and throttled it.
