Unlikely. The military is the hardest force to fight. This guy is (or was) clearly some dictator.

Most revolutions result in chaos and disaster. But they arise inevitably from tyrannical conditions that make those suffering under those conditions strike out with desperate measures. How do we come about positive change by peaceful means? Almost always, it happens when the controlling elite see their own fault and decide to work to restore justice, balance and equality. So far, ?I don’t see too many lining up for self-examination.

Blackwolff9: Not just the biggie in 1775-83, but Whiskey, Shays, another biggie in 1862-65 which all mainly failed (Jim Crow and lynching continue), a successful one stealing public land for a traitor rancher recently, and quite a few nonviolent ones being reversed by a “Supreme Legislature” mostly bought by Kochs. Mainly we have muddled through because of the Constitution so many posters invoke while hating. It was one of the rare times when the rich have produced something that benefited the rest of us more than the rich, with amendments doing more.

Once ran into a guy who said he was from a turntable republic: 33 and 1/3 revolutions per minute.
