This isn’t even that far out – there was a company (Schlumberger?) that built “electronic carillons” years ago. The bells themselves were recordings, with a big box of electronics to control the timing and sequencing.
They’re gonna realize something’s wrong, there’s no ‘dings’.
Might be a little too remote to get a signal.
