When I bought my printer I got a half price deal on one with a built-in fax. I hadn’t sent a fax in about 19 years, so it was a surprise that they are even still made.
Many government office still have fax machines and the minions there may not have access to the official agency email if there is one, or the email won’t allow attachments due to security fears. I have learned that the best way to get a document to the person who can help you is often to print it and then fax it. Unfortunately our fax machine broke and we switched to VOIP which can’t fax.
When I had doctor’s papers to send to my insurance a couple years ago, the options were email or fax. I could have gone to Staples to fax. Previous experience with my financial planner showed a photo produced unsatisfactory results. I found a good free photo to pdf I used with my iPad that solved it all. If it’s a multifunction printer that works like a fax, does that make it a fax simile?
