That reminds me of an English class way back in 8th grade. The teacher was trying to diagram a sentence (like they did back in the day), but a boy named Tom kept talking in the back. Finally, she stopped and said, “Tom, since you seem to understand it so well that you don’t need to pay attention, why don’t you come up and teach us how to do it?”
To everyone’s surprise, he stood up and said, Okay.” Then he proceeded to not only teach diagramming correctly but in such an engaging and entertaining manner that he had the entire class eating out of his hands. When he finished, the teacher said, “I think I need to invite you up to teach more often!” And yes, Tom did end up being a teacher when he grew up.
