I am impressed by whoever does those figures on the blackboards. I wonder if they are copied from some ones real work.

I knew a guy in R&D in the 70s who had a pull-down shade on his blackboard. His office door was kept closed. If visiting you knocked. Each time I talked to him the shade was always down. One day I peeked and saw he had a matrix drawn on the board and he was playing “Go”. Apparently he was corresponding with someone over ARPANET on moves. Probably government funded……

They are solving for the same thing. One is metric and the other is imperial. One is mad because he found imperial in his metric. The other is fighting back because he found metric in his imperial.

I read them both. As far as I can tell the one on the left failed to square the hyponenuse and divide by nyiffel bram. Fopp is also off by a factor of minus meepul yam.

The cartoonist must have had fun writing all of that gobbledygook!
