    That is a comment on the mindset of kids — to stop if anything is too hard or too unpleasant. It is also a comment on the parents who were too lazy to teach their kids.

    But this is a generally enjoyable comic.

    The decline in American “public” schools (government schools) began in the 70s when the Dept. of Education was formed. Prior to that, we were rated in the top 5 in math and sciences. Ever since, the federal government has been lowering requirements (dumbing down) the curriculum so that the lowest achievers can keep up. There used to be different levels of achievement in the same grade (A-level, B-level, C-level, etc.), but those were discarded when the black students predominated in the lower levels, and white and Asian students filled the higher levels. The only reason for this, in the liberal mind, was RACISM!!!!
