That young fellow has a lot to learn, clearly! Pink was practically the only color for a student’s eraser way back when (I recall the unforgettable brandname, Pink Pearl). But erasers are not the way to a girl’s heart! I hope he finds enlightenment, and a girl….
It was at that moment that I decided it was time to introduce her to my dear friend Willy. He can be a hard one to find, but when you do he comes with protection.
…..it kept bothering me how she could be so heartless, so cavalier about my plea for her heart..
I became bitter…not just towards Ruth Anna, but to ALL women….
I began to think about ways to get even with her, with all women…
one day I used my daddy’s credit card number to mail order a fully automatic AK47 with extra clips of ammunition…
what, you can’t DO that in most countries?—
well, thank god for the NRA!
anyway, when it arrived I ran my fingers across its
cool barrel and began to plot……….
With girls, it’s really not the thought that counts.
Since it was pink, you might’ve tried carving it into a heart shape. Then she’d have looked at it like it was, well, a broken heart.
Uhh…sorry…I just made myself cry.
I got my son one that was the size of a brick when he was in grade school. “I never make big misteaks” was printed on it.
thanks for the memory nudge… I miss those days
The fans of most female cartoonists (Lynn Johnston, Cathy Guisewite, Jan Eliot) seem to be female. Perhaps I’m wrong, but it seems as though Teresa’s fans are mainly male. What do you guys think?
I think that that poor dumb kid is any one of billions of men, and will continue to make mistakes with females ‘till the day he dies, and will always be somewhat puzzled and a little hurt…

Oh, a really good eraser would be a big hit with this girl! The bigger the better - I’m a school teacher, ergo I always need stuff like that.

Sisyphos Pink Pearl, I remember them well. You could stick pencil points into them and make interesting designs.

In the US, a rubber is called a prophilactic.
Ruth Anna did not make mistakes so never used the eraser, I think you rubbed her the wrong way.

I just saw that Julia Child episode during the last PBS fund drive. She had cute names for all the chickens. Creepy.
