Clatter gun: Back in the 50’s, there were a lot more dads with a workshop and the mechanical savvy to make something like this a doable project. Nowadays the ad would read, “With very little time and expense, you can code a neat clatter-gun app for your kid’s iPhone!”

Dang it Doc, I was going to say that. I was going to say that you beat me to it, but I started thinking of the connotations of such a remark and decided to rephrase my comment.

I really do miss the “I DON’T GET IT” tag, then the inevitable anonymous smack down on FB, then fessing up, then getting mocked by a comic strip artist, and then somehow figuring out a way to work the phrase ”backwoods redneck trash” into a post without it seeming overly gratuitous.

Not according to your girlfriend. Sorry DOC, I am usually very respectful to you (as you deserve) but when the straight man leaves me a line like that——-

backwoods redneck trash? I’ll admit FA is a little incomprehensible at times, but the blog postings are worldly,intelligent, humorous, and quite entertaining…..a morning staple up here on the Ridge.

The’wolf’ with the polar bear is actually a sled dog. This went around a while ago in emails.
