I wouldn’t recommend going to that restaurant again.

RE: Postage stamp. As a regular user of GoComics, I will often use the magnifier button (against my will) to be fully offended by comic strips to which I am subscribed (against my will), especially those with a lot of text that reduces to a blur at the size required to fit the allotted space.I have a sudden urge to watch Do No Harm.

I used, for a while, to subscribe to that routine (church, followed by visit to local restaurant). I always left a tip. I haven’t used Ivory soap in years (I prefer glycerine concoctions, which I became accustomed to while overseas). Nevertheless, I am not demanding that Teresa withdraw this strip. See? It’s NOT “all about me”!

The Blog: Isn’t that “the comforts of Rump-ford”, as in “at least I can keep the biggest part of me warm without central heating”?

Actually the pastor stiffed her but the restaurant ran the card through with 18% added anyway.

I’d take that skirt to Sunday Brunch, for sure. The best sex is when you have that strong feeling God’s watching.

@blog: Snowflake Bentley. Going to school in VT you WILL hear about him. NOT however, about Smalley & Davenport inventing the electric motor?! http://www.uvm.edu/histpres/SD/hist.html

I don’t tip. I just write a note on the bill, “At least I didn’t urinate on the table”.

    Dear Teresa

It was very nice of you to recycle “Help Wanted.” Was there a huge clamor for its return?

Anyway, I’ve always felt I should do more to give back to the FA community. With that in mind, I’d like to be a …

    Victoria’s Teresa’s Secret underwear model.

    Sincerely,

    Rotifer’s Mother

I’ve seen the prayer card/pamhlet people in action. They justify that the same way they justify their other misdeeds.Hypocrites, the lowest form (after child molesters, violent offenders and the Kardashian’s PR agent).

Waiters and waitresses get paid almost nothing by their employers; they do not get minimum wage. They depend on tips. My son is a waiter and often his paycheck is zero. I do not understand it completely, but I think that since he takes the tip home each day and the employer keeps track of it, when he gets paid the tax on the tips is subtracted and his take home is zero or close to zero. Serving the customers is a lot of work and the tip is deserved, whether or not the waiter/waitress is smiling.

Though ‘pure’, Ivory soap is the only soap out there that makes me itch like crazy.

I use to go with a woman like that. No matter where or what we ordered, she always left a one dollar tip and a prayer card.

The thug on the left would be ready for a “punch-up” – a fist fight. Although I wouldn’t put it past him to throw peaches from the stands.

Teresa, should I be expecting Vlad to come knocking?

If he gets here before half time there may be some beer and snacks left.

@Alexikakos: While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I respectfully disagree. Yes, there are bad servers – but their tips are usually distributed along a support chain; it’s wrong to punish everyone for a) restaurateur greed and b) what may be an off day. The entire restaurant landscape needs to change. If it costs more to eat out, so be it – the people who work their tails off deserve a living wage paid by their employers, with tips on top. Even the way tips are taxed needs to be changed. The whole system is wrong.
