Long ago, but not very far away, there was an empire that meant to absorb Froglandia. Today there are seven different countries on this continent, including Froglandia. Then, there was only one, plus Froglandia. And it bothered them that Froglandia could exist independent and free while they had subjugated all else. Froglandia’s relative isolation, due to mountains, bogs and lava fields, afforded them natural protection against invasion. And, of course, the Frogger Trail, across the highway, the river and other obstacles, was nearly impassable most of the year. This is the origin of Frogsbane. It was established as a siege encampment. The idea was to use the winter to cross the bogs at that part of the Froglandia border. Like Napoleon in Moscow, it was soon understood that crossing that bog in the winter was virtually impossible. But the settlement did well enough on its own, and people liked it there well enough, that it became a somewhat successful community in its own right.

I think not.
Therefore I am not.
But nothingness is something says Sartre.
And so our fish swims back and forth, trapped by a pair o’ docks.
