I knew of a Leo, he was quite an imaginary pet onion himself.

Leo cried so much that day, yet strangely not as much as his mother did.

    …their relationship was difficult…

…they kept pulling back layer after layer…

…everyone thought that it was cruel for Mom to chop up Leo’s pet onion…

…but she cried the whole time she did it…

…you should see what she did to Leo’s teddy bear…

    …stuffed it with meatloaf!…

    …What!?!…

    …meatloaf-again?…

…she was equally mean to Leo’s pet saxophone…

…she made him watch as she …

    …played it…

    …she shot his gun…

    …gave the shoe the boot…

    …opened up, Fred, the umbrella…

    …inside!…

    …and upside-down!…

    …she hung the horse shoe…

    …told his friend-Brenda Starr- to break a leg…

    …she flipped him the bird…

    …and left his cup half full(half empty)…

…but the worst cut of all…

…she named him Leo when he really was a Virgo…

…from the Froglandia Bathmat Factory colouring book…

    …Leo’s Mom Doesn’t Colour Inside The Lines…

They told me that they had sent my pet onion to the onion farm, to run and play with the other onions. But now I know. I am distraught.

I spent many happy hours as a child, watching the scallions, leeks, and chives frolicking in the garden. But the herbs watched them sagely, and shed a tear for what they knew was coming.

Was it Spanish, Green, Vidalia? White, yellow, red?

I need to know exactly what kind of meat was used in order to render a tender loaf!

Wonder if this recipe was in the Book of Recipes at the Froglandia Bathmat Factory?

Would it have been too cruel for Mom to invite the young man to assist in the cooking of said meat loaf? Most recipes that are any good are as complicated and ingredient-intensive as all heck. She probably could use the help. And it would be a multi-tiered learning experience for Junior.

That should teach Leo not to make a pet of something found in the fridge. Mom was simply doing doing what moms do (i.e., making meatloaf).

Interesting assortment of irrelevant stuff falling/floating around. Not too distracting, though….
