Jon: I love the old country songs, Garfield. They were so poignant. This one's called "Times Were Hard, So We Ate The Cat".
Garfield: So that's what poignant means.
Hey Garfield - be my cat and you’ll be spoilt for life!!! I have 5 beautiful felines whom I adore (4 tabbys and 1 tom). Let me know so that I could prepare my tom that he’s gonna have competition soon ; )
Hillbillyman I believe it is Dropkick me Jesus through the goalpost of life. I remember it fondly, but I was more partial to Ray Steven’s song The Streak.
I always liked “theres a light at the end of the tunnel, and I hope it ain’t a dang ole train.” Don’t recall who sung it, but I do remember that one verse.
Pamlicorat, The Streak is one of my favorites also. Ray Stevens makes me laugh more than any other musician by far. I’ve got 2 of his DVDs, and watch them often.

Next Jon will sing, “The Cat’s in the Kettle”. (And that’s a real song!)
That’s why I have a barn full of cats. ONLY in case of extreme emergency, mind you, but still, it’s nice to know they’re there, just in case…

Have you noticed that the singers who make the big money are either real good or extremely terrible. Those of us in the middle hasn’t got a chance.

Now I’d be curious to hear the lyrics to this song, Jon (although I’m sure Garfield wouldn’t …).
Thanks for all the good songs, everyone.
