Odie is listening for an echo in ultrasonic sound. It’s not his fault that Garfield is an obese, deaf cat.

Be careful what you wish for, Garfield. His bark is much worse than his bite – wait until it comes back multiplied.

He’s just heard the tree fall in the forest.

Garfield, pay attention. Odie is standing on the edge of a cliff! This is the chance you’ve been waiting for!

I’m surprised Garfield didn’t kick Odie overthe edge.

You’re WAY underestimating Calvin’s Dad and so is The Snoopster. Dad didn’t display his ignorance yesterday, he displayed exactly the opposite. Calvin just doesn’t like the kind of answers Dad gives, except when Cartoon Physics forces him to accept the deliberately absurd as factual.
