Mary Everest Boole is actually really cool. Her string art was actually a way to make math easier to teach – she was a fairly accomplished mathematician (as was her husband, George Boole), and contributed to the philosophy of education.
Also, her daughter was a successful writer and married the man who owned the Voynich manuscript, and her uncle was the man Mt Everest was named for. The whole family is kind of insanely cool.

I think it’s cute that people keep photos in their wallet whether it’s of their children or pets.
