Look, I know it’s hard sometimes, but there are better things left unsaid because of peoples’ feelings. Things change and it affects people differently. Let’s not try to provocate people — it’s comics; we’re supposed to be entertained :)
When my mother was a young child, her little sister actually pulled this trick on her. It freaked my mother out so badly she’s had a fear of water ever since. (You see, my mother’s mothering & protecting instinct is very, very strong, even back when she was a child.) The upside is, since she had such a fear of water, she made sure that all of us kids had swimming lessons.
After the comments (including mine) yesterday and today, I found out that gocomics has “Garfield Classics” running too. I have put the classics right next to today’s Garfield in my feed so I can compare. Today’s is the first ever mention of lasagna.
aren’t you the same one that said last week that you’d no longer read the Garfield strip, because you said its been unfunny for years? And yet, here you are still reading, and whining about it. why don’t you follow your own advice, and stop reading the strip indefinitely, Mr. Hypocrite?
I couldn’t care less about Lil Nachoe’s comments so I’m not upset. It’s just that occasionally an asscerbic (sic) thought pops into my head and forces its way out my fingers. ;-)
Hmmm. When I complained about the meals at home, I was suddenly elected Cook for a Month. At 12 years old, THAT was how I learned to cook and Iʻve stuck with it for the past 66 years. Iʻm a better cook than most women, (except for restaurant female chefs!)

You know you eat fish, right Garfield? Perfect revenge plan there.

If it were one of those amphibious fish, it’d joke it’s drowning on the land.

Garfield?! Running to the rescue? Garfield’s heroic streak was coming out.

So stop reading it! A lot of us still enjoy this strip, and we don’t need you critiquing it.

So, you’re slagging off the modern strips and the originals ones, as well. Is nothing right for you?
