Does a man ever know what an argument with a woman is about?

I remember an argument like that.

    “Oh, you just don’t understand!”

“You’re RIGHT. I DON’T understand. Could you please explain it to me so that I DO understand?”

Ohhhh, she didn’t like that at all…

A young friend of the family said in a public acceptance on his wedding night (with big smirk) …“[My new wife, by name] knows that I am wrong, even before the thought that I might be wrong has entered my head”.

Still wondering if he got some Wedding Cake that night.

    Just to add…

A wonderful family (I know / have known five generations of this family)… this young blokes father said that before his own wedding his prospective father-in-law gave the advice…“Never let the sun set on an argument”.

Even if you don’t like country music, watch this video – this sums it up.

Oh. And I tried that a couple times in a fight. Mine got more pissed at me for disagreeing with her in the first place.

And on a few occasions where she actually convinced me that I was wrong (like made a strong argument for her case) I was yelled at more because I did not agree with her sooner.

My wife is always right because she will get mad if I prove she is wrong.

A number of things I have learned over the years:

    1) Even if you “win” the argument, you haven’t won. She will very likely simply segue into a new argument.

    2) Everything is always your fault.

    3) It really doesn’t matter. If they are so insecure that they must win all arguments, that’s their problem, I don’t want to make it mine. Although I admit that sometimes my temper gets the better of me and I will engage in the argument with all guns blazing, I have discovered that not getting involved in it to even the smallest extent is really the only way to truly win it. And seeing the resulting frustration is quite satisfying… ☺

Just go with “Yes, dear. I’m sorry, dear. I love you, dear.”
