Some things don’t need to rhyme to be good.
Roses are red,
Diamond rings shine,
Get a new cat bed,
Pizza is fine!
Tomatoes
Oranges
Melons
Coconuts
Bananas
It is a poem.
“You are my all,
I love you with all my heart,
Deodorant, soda, cat food!”
That’s how you write a romantic haiku/shopping list. And by cat food , I meant pizza.
That might explain why the ‘list’ he took to the grocery store earlier was written in rhyme
Roses are red, violets are blue and Jon just made a big boo boo.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, with accompaniment from Garfield’s stomach.
If it’s a shopping list, she wrote it.
Read it anyway Jon Liz may not notice !
I guess it’s a lot of fruit! Banana, melon, kiwi and lemon. Yes, you can thank me later! :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LI5P5qTpX0E (Yes, there is also a Dutch remix!)
I like how he rhymed strawberries with blueberries.
Roses are red, violet’s are blue, a face like yours, should be in a zoo,…
May I compare thee to a Summer’s day, or maybe a chuck roast,
Just call it “The Grocery List of Love”…
A poem based on the ingredients that are needed for the next lasagna. How unfortunate that I’m not a good poet. I can only imagine it a little bit.
“I was wondering why I had so much trouble navigating the grocery store an hour ago!”
Oh, Liz, I love you more than bacon…
You make me go bananas…
etc. etc.
This gives me all sorts of questions
“READ IT SLOWLY”
“AND WITH FEELING”
(imagines different versions of these parts of the dialogue of this cartoon)
READ IT SLOWLY…
….WITH FEELING
Shopping lists can be poetic, if read properly.
Maybe Garfield should write a poem next time.
Jon really needs to learn to keep his papers organized in order to keep something like this from happening.
Sounds like Garfield made some selective editing.
How Do I Love Liz,
Let me Count the ways..1) Donuts2) Lasagna3) Pizza4) Cat Food5) Dog Food6) Some other stuff
It’s on the other side, Jon.
Frosted donuts, powdered donuts, glazed donuts, cake donuts, long Johns, cinnamon rolls…(Shall I keep reading?)
Liz, you are my Krispy Kreme, donut deny it!
Garfield is such a sly one!
