Six and Seven Eighths String Band, a band in the first half of the 1900’s; I haven’t heard the music, but checked the internet, and apparently it was music (some is recorded) which was pre-jazz “Americana”. Real music with decent words, I’d guess.
In Redding, California, in the 1980’s I found that the young adults were all listening to the rock-and-roll radio, not because they were into rock-and-roll, but because rock-and-roll was the closest to music with decent words. The Six and Seven Eighths String Band sounds like a winner.
I prefer the old method of Comicspage and this new set up will take me some time getting used to. How do you send your photo? I reccomend the Sundays with Walt and Skeezix book. It is a Gasoline Alley fan’s dream.
